60 years after its creation, in March 1957, Europe is facing an existential crisis. The same major questions are still at the heart of discussions : is an economic Europe enough to protect us from everything? Is it possible to have a more integrated Europe without changing the Constitution? With historical accounts that have been revealed over the past years, this documentary film will use fictional material mixed with archives to recount and reconstruct the negotiations that took place over 7 years, between 1950 and 1957, that resulted in the Treaty of Rome. A way to understand the reasons of why the European Union came into existence.
