Melody Gardot invests the mythical Studio 104 of Radio France! Accompanied by a trio of musicians and forty instrumentalists from the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, the singer unfolds Sunset in the Blue, her new album. A unique evening combining jazz and symphonic music.

In the spring, the very Francophile Melody Gardot is confined to her home in Paris. Cloistered but not short of ideas, the singer uses the internet to launch a worldwide appeal and federate musicians cut off from the stage to record an album remotely. This is how the American was able to lay her voice on the notes of a string and wind orchestra scattered around the four corners of the globe. Behind this technical challenge, a magnificently melancholic work: Sunset in the Blue.

It is this album (as well as a few pieces from her previous productions) that Mélody Gardot performs with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. We are thus lulled by a program mixing standards and original songs, jazz, folk and bossa-nova.

Melody Gardot is a regular of ARTE Concert. Whether in concert at the Olympia or in session at the Château d'Hérouville, the jazzy diva has always captivated us with her charisma and velvety voice. Without any surprise, this symphonic evening is no exception.
